Cotsen\u00a0<\/span>works with an independent external evaluator to collect data on how well our programs are implemented and how they impact teachers, students, and schools. Through research including participant surveys, in-depth case studies, and a two-year pre\/post comparison group study, we test the theory of change that guides our work:<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

More specifically, Cotsen invests in developing teacher coaches<\/u> and deepening teacher learning<\/u> in order to support excellent teaching\u00a0<\/u>and develop teacher leaders<\/u>, which leads to enhanced student learning<\/u> and learning-focused schools<\/u> and higher-capacity districts<\/u>.
